The Album has a pretty uplifting feel to it, “As we Enter” brings a old school tribal feel to “Distant Relatives”. Where as the song “My Generation” has a 90’s we are the world track to the album. Nas And Damin have a unique chemistry on the album, i’m not a fan of regge but i’m a fan of Queens Bridge’s poet, “Count Your Blessings” has a dance style beat to it, some of the album is hit and miss with the production making up for some of the flaws in the album.
All in all Nas has an flow that reminds me of “It was Written” not his best work but it is not a Nastradmas. Nas however does come off strong overall in the album. There are personally 7 songs on here i’m feeling with the upbeat Jazz feel and Damin Marley seem to match up perfectly , i would recommend this album for those who like regge and a different style of hip-hop, i would give the album a 7.8/10 it’s a good solid album but nothing u would play all the time in the summer.
